Facebook Is The Next Target For Anonymous
The group of hackers anticipated that in three months, will lead a cyber attack against the world’s largest social network. Contrary to previous attacks that sought to vindicate or simply upset but this time the goal is to destroy Facebook. Anonymous used YouTube and twitter with hash tag #opfacebook to make known their intentions.
The group of hackers said that the continuing violations of the privacy of users determined their decision. "Facebook was selling our information to government agents, giving them access to our secret information.Spying on everyone in the world. Some of these companies are working to WhiteHat calls authoritarian governments such as Egypt and Syria," says the statement.
"We are tired of information being stolen from others and sell them to powerful men like paper. This regime has come to an end," the activist group. Anonymous gained notoriety when they attacked the Visa and MasterCard credit cards sites when donations for Wikileaks suspended and revealed thousands of secret cables months ago.
