Goerge Clooney Crowned Best Actor
George Clooney is crowned Best Actor in a Drama category of the Golden Globe Awards 2012. 50-year-old actor won the award for his role as Matt King in the film ‘The Descendants’.
He got rid of Brad Pitt (Moneyball), Leonardo DiCaprio (J. Edgar), Ryan Gosling (The Ides of March) and Michael Fassbender (Shame).
Previously he also beat Pitt and DiCaprio in the event the Critics’ Choice Awards 2012 in Los Angeles, January 12, 2012.
While the Best Actress award won by Merryl Streep in the film ‘The Iron Lady’. He got rid of Viola Davis (The Help), Tilda Swinton (We Need to Talk About Kevin), Rooney Mara (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) and Glenn Close (Albert Nobbs).
Merryl Streep role as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the film. She displays the iconic hair style and high-pitched voice. The American actress has won seven Golden Globe for this. Her role in the movie ‘Julie & Julia’ in 2010 also won the Best Actress award in the Golden Globe.
