Megan Mullally
Megan Mullally can be seen weekly in her Emmy and 3-time SAG Award-winning role of “Karen Walker” on NBC’s Will & Grace. Megan first entered Northwestern University intending to study acting, but switched to English literature. However, she still ended up starring in several campus musicals, which gained attention from producers and prompted her to drop out of school. In 1985, she moved to Los Angeles with no particular success.
But, in 1994, she co-starred in “Grease” with Rosie O’Donnell and, in 1995, in “How To Succeed In Business” with Matthew Broderick. Her star has been rising ever since.
News about Megan Mullaly
Megan Mullally was the first guest on last night’s “The Tonight Show” with Conan O’Brien. She was brought out just after Conan had gotten finished firing Velcro Christmas ornaments at a huge rotating cloth Christmas Tree, with a gun of some sort. Conan told her that she looked beautiful. She explained that she felt great getting to wear her own hair, because she had been having to wear wigs for a lot of jobs lately.
Then she gave Conan a long red-haired wig to wear. He, of course, tried it on and looked ridiculously funny. She gave him a few more to try, including one that looked kinda like Howard Stern’s hair. Then they discussed her new commercial for “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter.” She said that during all the times that she was singing commercials in her bathroom mirror as a kids, that she never dreamed she’d be belting our to the top of her lungs the words “hydrogenated oils and trans fats”.
She also confessed that she never once thought about this fact when she agreed to do the commercial: It is a refrigerated item, so the whole commercial was shot in the frozen foods section. “Kinda nippy there,” she added. She can be seen on the comedy series “Party Down” beginning in January.
