8.8 SR earthquake and 2.3 Meters Tsunami Hit Chile + Video

Large tsunami waves finally hit Chile. 2.3 meter waves hit the coastal city of Talcahuano.
As reported by AFP on Saturday (27/2/2010), Talcahuano is one of 11 coastal cities hit by the tsunami waves. The tsunami was triggered by a 8.8 earthquake SR. At least 78 people were killed by the devastating earthquake.
The earthquake was centered precisely at 90 km Northeast Concepcion, Chile with a depth of 55 km. Scale 8.3 earthquake was reported before and then 8.5, before later confirmed by the USGS 8.8 SR
