Mel Gibson Edge Of Darkness Movie Review
‘Edge of Darkness’ is a film that should be important, because this film marks the return of Mel Gibson to the world of acting after missing more than seven years. But the importance of this film turned out so simply that, it’s all about the return of Mel Gibson. The rest, ‘Edge of Darkness’ almost does not offer any value.
This film tells of the efforts the police detective Tom Craven (Mel Gibson) to seek justice for the murder of his daughter (Bojana Novakovic). The story of revenge and then complicated by a political conspiracy and the message about corporate crime. Sounds interesting, unfortunately, the film was marred by the lack of action scenes and a shallow story of intrigue.
Instead of full-action as a brief on the trailer, the duration of the movie ‘Edge of Darkness’ was more typical dialogue dominated just like “conspiracy movies”. Unfortunately again, the dialogues seems shallow and a waste of time. You could say that this film is less clear, despite being held by the great director, Martin Campbell, who made ‘Casino Royale’.
This was exacerbated by weak acting of the supporting cast, so the character that Mel Gibson played well make it looks very strong and superb. But maybe it is a good thing. Since the main purpose of this film is our desire to treat the presence of Mel Gibson in front of the screen.
